Teimuraz II of Kakheti

King of Kakheti from 1733 and King of Kartli from 1744 to 1762, he allied with Persian shah Nader to recover his throne. Father of Erekle II, he laid the groundwork for the eventual reunification of Kartli and Kakheti under his son. Died in St Petersburg seeking Russian support.
