Biography
Last king of unified Georgia from 1446 to 1465, after which the kingdom permanently fragmented into the rival kingdoms of Kartli, Kakheti, and Imereti. He retreated to Kakheti where he founded the Kakhetian Bagrationi line as George I of Kakheti, ruling there until 1476.
