Rusudan of Georgia

Queen of Georgia from 1223 to 1245, sister of George IV Lasha. Her reign was overwhelmed by the Mongol conquest, which by her death had reduced Georgia to a vassal state. She fled the capital and never recovered the kingdom's former power. Mother of David VI Narin.
