Bagrat III of Georgia

First king of a unified Kingdom of Georgia, he combined the crowns of Abkhazia (inherited from his mother), Tao-Klarjeti, and the Kartvelian kingdom into a single state in 1008. His reign laid the foundations for the medieval Georgian Golden Age. He is considered one of the most consequential rulers in Georgian history.
