George I of Georgia

Son of Bagrat III and king of Georgia from 1014 to 1027. His reign was marked by costly conflicts with the Byzantine Empire over the inheritance of David III of Tao's lands, which ended unfavorably for Georgia. He died young at age 29 leaving an unstable realm to his son Bagrat IV.
